Modification of Safety Practices Regarding COVID - 19
Effective June 9, 2021, for those who are vaccinated, wearing of masks will now be optional while at Mass, at other liturgies, and at any indoor or outdoor events held at our churches. Those who remain unvaccinated should continue to wear masks.
New Directives for Liturgies in Churches
As of Saturday May 22, 2021 the COVID-19 restrictions and procedures first implemented on May 27, 2020 in the document Opening Churches for Public Worship in the Archdiocese of Hartford are hereby revoked.
As of Saturday, May 22, 2021 the general dispensation from obligation to attend Mass in person on Sundays and Holy Days will no longer be in force.
Wearing masks in Church still required.

St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, Waterbury, a parish of the Archdiocese of Hartford, Connecticut, is a community of the faithful, living with the love of God, the example of Jesus Christ, and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.  Together, parishioners of all ages seek to encourage each others spiritual growth, to meet the material needs of the church, and to bear witness to their faith every day.
